Soldier's condition remains critical upon return to camp
by Super Pioneer Daron
01 October 2006~ A soldier was reported to have returned back to camp after a whole month, the reason classified. CPL Yeo Jun Xian Darren was first seen at the HQ Block with a group of fellow soldiers. He was later sighted at ETC managing some jeeps throughout the whole morning, and was sighted at numerous locations in the afternoon driving a jeep with men taking signages down.
Apparently, CPL Yeo is suffering from a common illness called the After-Home Syndrome, also known as the ORD-inogitis. It is a condition whereby someone suffers from depression, sleepiness, boredom and anger due to the luxury of out of camp life.
When interviewed, the 19 years old replied in a melancholic voice, "Why am I doing this, you say? Cause Bo Bian lah... Survey Course start already.. so must be busy lor.. "
"What the !@#$%^ am I doing back in camp?!?"
Treatment is said to take many days before the patient is healed, and the only way is by conducting cold-turkey on the individual. There are many incidents of failing to contain the illness. One such example was the recent disappearence of a fellow soldier in the Survey Platoon. Due to the high sensitivity of the issue, Daron Post is only allowed to state that the missing person has a 3rd Sergeant Rank. Evidence obtained from the authorities pointed out that his long term absence was due to a long term injury. Investigation is still being carried over the missing person.
CPL Yeo is now at home, continuing to deliver a highly classified report, but there is little hope for the soldier's sanity when he reports back to camp on the following Monday.
He said emotionally " Die la... Die la... Die la...."
More updates will be provided in the near future.
