Down with the irresponsible
I saw a recent nickname on MSN which goes like this "I rather be the Burdened, than to be the Burden." I find irresponsible people disgusting at times, sometimes even disgusted with myself(well not most of the times). Personal responsibility is one thing, but responsibilities and duties across the board should not be taken lightly, especially when people(eg. your friend) need you. I dislike people who shrugged their responsibilities away and not even seeing the importance in the event. Many a time I see this in the army. My platoon was very small, consisting of 7 people, yet the saikang given was tremendous. And sometimes, certain people do not do their jobs, or even worse, pushing their work to other people in the platoon(usually its the poor Thambi in my platoon) You can really brand this people as "assholes"Today, Plin and I went for Esther's Final Year Recital in the morning. Esther has been preparing for these day for the past 2 weeks, composing her own music and stressing herself up on the scores and booklet presentation. I did her the favour of doing out the layout of the booklet, though I was utterly unsatisfied. Plin helped Esther with the printing. And so on this faithful day, when we were about to witness the greatest piece created this pianist girl...
All of a sudden, the drummer in her band wasn't there...!
Esther tried calling the drummer, but he didnt pick up his call. She was frantically looking for someone to replace him, and had to settle with the drummer from the previous recital, who willingly helped her with her piece. Even so, he wasn't familiar with the piece, and so there was a lot of fumbling with the whole piece. Esther managed to salvage the whole situation by playing a extraordinary performance on her part, but it could have been a lot better.
It really pisses people off to have such irresponsible people in our lives. True, the 1st drummer could have something very important on the midst of the recital and so couldnt come, but we concluded he has probably overslept as he did not return any calls back to Esther. All the hard training, money paid for the studio, all for nothing on the actual day itself.
Down with the Irresponsible!
